Air Europa Cargo and CargoAi announce strategic partnership to enhance air cargo booking experience

Air Europa Cargo and the IT company CargoAi have collaborated to develop an e-booking platform, which is scheduled to launch in the middle of 2023. CargoAi will implement its CargoGATE plug-and-play integration solution on the new platform.

Within minutes, freight forwarders will be able to search, book, track, and pay for their Air Europa shipments using the same interface. CargoAi's recently introduced CargoWALLET will power the payment function, whereas Cargo2ZERO will be responsible for CO2 tracking and reduction. CargoAi will manage technical maintenance, enabling Air Europa Cargo customers to take advantage of modification and advance booking capabilities.

The global launch of Air Europa Cargo's e-booking platform will encompass all of its products, excluding valuables. Freight forwarders must contact Air Europa Cargo directly to book this type of cargo.

Jordi Piqué, general manager of Air Europa Cargo, stated that the company chose to partner with CargoAi for its digital adoption because CargoAi required minimal IT investment, accelerated deployment, and minimal long-term maintenance on its part. Piqué believes that CargoGATE satisfies all requirements and that the user experience will generate efficiencies for existing customers and increase their loyalty to the Air Europa Cargo booking process.

Matthieu Petot, the chief executive officer of CargoAi, stated that his company is proud to have been selected by Air Europa Cargo for its digital adoption and ecstatic that Air Europa Cargo has chosen to integrate its entire suite of products, including sustainability and payment solutions.

The partnership will also enable Air Europa Cargo schedules and capacity to be displayed on CargoAi's digital marketplace application, CargoMART, allowing Air Europa Cargo to be booked by the 8000+ forwarders currently using the digital platform. Air Europa Cargo is the division of the Air Europa airline that provides air cargo services.
