G Willi Food Announces NIS 90 Million Investment for Innovative Logistics Center

    G. Willi-Food International Ltd. is an Israeli firm specializing in the international development, import, marketing, and distribution of premium kosher food items. It markets more than 600 food goods to more than 1,500 clients and 3,000 retail sites worldwide, including large retail chains, private supermarket chains, institutional consumers, and wholesalers. Willi-Food in Israel and Euro European Dairies, a wholly-owned subsidiary that designs, produces, and distributes branded kosher dairy products, are the company's operating divisions.

The Business recently announced the receipt of a building permit for the construction of a new refrigerated and frozen distribution center at a cost of NIS 90 million. The new logistics center will be mechanized, computerized, and constructed on the Company's Yavne land, adjacent to the current logistics center. The new logistics center will increase the area for storage, collection, and distribution, enabling the Company to expand into new categories of frozen and chilled foods and to support its sustained expansion and greater activity in the Israeli food market. The corporation intends to fund the investment using its own funds.

According to Co-Chairman of Willi-Food Joseph Williger "The new logistics center that will be created will be a state-of-the-art, technologically advanced structure that will considerably enhance the company's storage, collecting, and distribution logistics capabilities. We anticipate that the new logistics center will allow the company to expand greatly, develop its operations, and enter new categories of chilled and frozen products. The new center will also enable the supply of logistic services to a variety of different businesses seeking the advantages of a centralized, modern logistics center."
